Traction Plus moves the entire cockpit and provides both understeer and oversteer as realistically and accurately as possible.
Based on feedback from professional drivers during product development, the understeer component of a motion platform normally only found in 6DOF systems is absolutely critical to accurately and precisely simulate the vehicle. By sensing both understeer and oversteer, the platform can be used effectively for driver/runner training, particularly for cornering and rallying, by sensing what happens to both the rear and front of the vehicle. Even the differences between rear-wheel drive, front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive vehicles can be felt with the precise feedback delivered through Traction Plus. The V3 motion platform and Traction Plus combine to provide precise vehicle feedback for front wheel lock, which means you will feel the vibration as well as the front of the vehicle sliding out of the corner when too much brake pressure is applied (also applicable for rear wheel lock depending on vehicle bias).
Traction Plus combined with the Next Level Racing® V3 motion platform provides incredible levels of feedback from the vehicle to the driver so that the driver feels exactly what the vehicle is doing, accurately providing roll, surge, roll, pitch, understeer and loss of front traction (a critical feature normally only experienced on 6dof motion platforms), oversteer and loss of rear traction, power slides and drifts, partial jumps, vehicle and road effects such as road surface, potholes, wheel lock/spin, gear changes, etc. and manoeuvring effects (to feel the side impact contact of opponents/walls).
